SHARP’S CLOUD PORTAL OFFICE RECEIVES TOP RATINGS

Montvale, NJ, January 19, 2017
Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC) announces that Sharp Cloud Portal Office (CPO) has received a prestigious “Pick” award for “Outstanding Content and Collaboration Service” from Buyers Laboratory LLC (BLI), a world-wide leading independent evaluator of document imaging products and solutions.
BLI Pick awards give special recognition to software products that provide the most outstanding performances in BLI’s unique evaluations. The award is given to software products submitted for testing that rise above the competition in key areas such as feature set, ease of use and ease of administration, software integration and value.
CPO is a turnkey content management service that provides a convenient way to capture, index and archive both paper and electronic documents in a single repository. Through CPO, IT administrators can manage and control user access in order to safeguard company data. CPO also allows for a secure connection to business content and with flexible sharing features users can easily collaborate with team members, whether remotely or during in-person conferences.
CPO received top marks from BLI for the platform’s many strengths, including its small to medium-size business focused content management features, such as customized indexing, exceptions processing and a user-friendly viewer. The platform also received accolades for its easy-to-use collaboration features accessible through intuitive user interfaces such as the PC, smartphone or tablet, Sharp multifunctional printer (MFP), or Sharp AQUOS BOARD® interactive display system. Finally, granular folder and subfolder sharing permissions and admin controls help ensure content integrity and security.
“Employees are becoming less constrained by their physical location, and content platforms like Cloud Portal Office allow staff to be productive even if all users are in different locations,” said Jamie Bsales, director, Office Workflow Solutions Analysis. “Setting permissions on who gets to access certain content is easy, so users will never have to worry about their work being affected by the wrong hands. And the use of exception handling, version control and audit logs ensures content fidelity in this valuable service.”
“Sharp is extremely honored to receive a coveted Pick award form BLI,” said Vince Jannelli, Associate Vice President of Software Product Management, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. “We designed Cloud Portal Office for small to medium-size businesses looking for cloud-based content management and collaboration, and it is gratifying to be recognized for our commitment to this goal.”
